Universal Master Link Clip Pliers by Motion Pro. Motion Pro’s master link clip pliers are one of my favorite tools stashed in my toolbox. Not only do they make quick work of removing or installing your master link clip, they reduce the chance of having a chain related failure while riding. This is why I love these so much. A screwdriver or regular pliers can bend, warp or break that tiny little clip that is holding your entire riding trip together. It’s important to take care of it and make sure it’s removed and installed properly.

Regardless of the chain size and whether it’s o-ring or non, these turn the chore of replacing your chain into something that is quick and easy. Some chains can be more of a challenge with how the link plate needs to be squeezed before the clip can be set. Since I’ve had these in the garage that problem hasn’t come up any longer. Great quality you’d expect from Motion Pro.

The jaws are offset with one side a little bit longer than the other to be able to get behind the clip while both removing and installing. There is also a groove for the short jaw of the pliers to seat on the head of the roller pin and stay secure while in use. This is the magic in why they work so well while a screwdriver and regular pliers do not.

Features:

  • Designed to simplify installation and removal of clip-type master links
  • One tip is shorter and notched to be placed on the pin which allows the longer end to push the clip
  • Precisely engineered to ensure ultimate efficiency
  • Manufactured using innovative technologies
  • Absolute quality, great durability, and solid workmanship
